All the Year 6 children are in our class, and some of the Year 5 children. Our teacher is Mr Amor and our teaching assistant is Mrs Heath. Although we have to work hard on test preparation to be ready for the SATS in this class, our teachers make sure that we still have lots of great activities and topics to do so that we enjoy our learning.
Although we are preparing for our SATS tests, we still have plenty of time to do other wonderful things such as a heart dissection, designing and sewing our own hats and finding out about the biology of flowers. This term we are studying the history of transport, with special focus on the Titanic. We are making hats on the theme of Titanic which is taking a lot of design work. And we will have a trip to Southampton docks to see the place where Titanic sailed from.

We are expected to set a really good example to the rest of the school since we are the oldest in school. We also have to carry out various responsibilities to help keep the school running efficiently. We help to organise and lead Collective Worship, run stalls in the fayres, look after younger children when we walk to church, help with organisation of sports day and other events – and much more. We also prepare ourselves to move to secondary school which is a great adventure.
