Newsletter 25 – 27th March 2015

Dear Parents

We wish all our families a joyful and blessed Easter break and look forward to everyone returning refreshed and ready for an exciting summer term.

Stonehenge class Wake and Shake  Thank you to our youngest children who led us all so beautifully in the Wake and Shake routine this week! You were tremendous. Once again, thank you to our wonderful parents who support Wake and Shake so effectively, setting a great example for the children.

Holiday club We are offering the Super Stars holiday club during the Easter break from Tuesday 7th April to Friday 10th April. There are a few places left – please sign up and come along either for the whole week or just for a day or part of a day.

Tag Rugby Our team played very well and narrowly missed winning, coming second out of twenty five teams! In the finals, we played against schools a lot bigger than ours – so a real achievement to coming so close to winning.

Parents’ Event for Stonehenge class We always enjoy inviting our parents to come into school to share something of their children’s work, and on Thursday the parents of Stonehenge class came to the art centre where they had Easter biscuits and enjoyed seeing some of the things our children have done this term. Thank you to all who came along.

PFA Thank you as ever to our remarkable PFA who arrange so many fun activities for the children throughout the course of the year. This week they arranged the very popular disco and the children’s bake-off. As well as raising treasured funds, these events provide great enrichment for the children.

Disco Our thanks once again to our wonderful PFA for organising this event. It was tremendous fun! The children were kept interested and engaged by the dancing games and the careful organisation of the whole event.

Bake-Off Thank you to all who contributed to our annual Bake-Off – what a lot of wonderful entries! Winners will be announced at Sharing Assembly. Thank you to our PFA for organising this event and to Mrs Wilding and James Bollen for their careful and expert judging.

PFA News

We have lots of “Thank Yous” to make this week to PFA members, Staff, Parents and Children for supporting us with our FANTASTIC Easter Disco Party. The children all had a blast and it’s always a joy to see them have such a good time!
The cakes that were entered into the Easter bake off were simply incredible. The children had obviously put a lot of time and effort in to making them and I am sure were equally as delicious. Thank you for your support in buying these cakes at the cake sale.
All these fund raisers enable the PFA to put the money back into the school for the benefit of our children through various collaborative projects, most recently we helped the school buy some much needed new sports kit.
Wishing you a Happy Easter and a relaxing break.
