All the Year 6 children are in our class, and some of the Year 5 children. Our teacher is Mr Amor and our teaching assistant is Mrs Heath. Although we have to work hard on test preparation to be ready for the SATS in this class, our teachers make sure that we still have lots of great activities and topics to do so that we enjoy our learning.

Our theme for this term is “Coasts” – a great theme for an island nation. As well as the Geography of coasts, we shall use the theme to inform much of our literacy and art, as well as maths and science learning.

Our theme for last term was the Invaders of the British Isles – 1AD – 1000AD. We found out about Boudicca – and we wrote some great reports about her battles!

We are expected to set a really good example to the rest of the school since we are the oldest in school. We also have to carry out various responsibilities to help keep the school running efficiently. We help to organise Collective Worship, run stalls in the fayres, look after younger children when we walk to church, help with organisation of sports day, Wake and Shake and many other things. We also prepare ourselves to move to secondary school which is a great adventure.
