Welcome to our school website.
Holy Trinity is a warm, family centred, highly successful stand-alone academy where Christian values and ethos are fundamental to all that we do and at the heart of every decision that is made. Ofsted and SIAS judge us to be Outstanding, and standards are high across all subject areas and all age groups.
We regularly get letters from the Government, commending us on being in the top few percent of the country for our academic results – including a recent letter coming this year from the Regional Schools’ Commissioner, telling us that we are one of the top schools in the South West Region and one from the Rt Hon Nick Gibb congratulating us on being in the top 3% of the country for the phonics screening assessment. However, we are even more proud of the fact that our children are caring, independent, responsible people who show courage, aspiration, compassion and joy in every aspect of their lives. We prepare children to live fulfilled, happy and generous lives whatever their academic ability.
Academy status has meant that we have even more freedom to develop our creative, engaging and exciting curriculum which helps to make learning at Holy Trinity so successful. Our children tell us they like school and are very happy here. Parental surveys show very high parental satisfaction with the school as well. We firmly believe that education of our children is best when there is strong collaboration between the family and the school, and we work hard to establish and nurture these links.
We are fortunate to have great support from parents, governors and other members of our local community as well as our PFA who work tirelessly to fund raise and provide enrichment events for our children. We also have links with other schools to broaden the experience of children and staff.
We are part of a formal collaboration, the Emmanuel Collaboration, which includes five local primary schools. Working closely together, we aim to ensure the very best possible provision for all our children without having to sacrifice any independence to a Multi Academy Trust.
Teaching and learning takes place through exciting and interesting themes, off site visits, visitors and experts who come into the school, and wonderful projects. We are pleased to be able to offer a wide variety of clubs, including sports clubs and music clubs, hand bells, chess, gardening and other special interest activities. Education at Holy Trinity is also enhanced by our beautiful grounds – we are on the edge of Salisbury Plain with lovely views, a large field, great playground equipment, an outdoor theatre and a small area of woodland.
We welcome visitors to our school – and recent news, photos and other information is always available on our website.
